26-28 February 2018: Planheat project meeting – Velika Gorica, Croatia

VITO is attending the General Assembly meeting of M18 of PLANHEAT in Velika Gorica, one of the validation cities of PLANHEAT. PLANHEAT will develop and validate an integrated and easy-to-use tool to support local authorities in selecting, simulating and comparing alternative low carbon and economically sustainable scenarios for heating and cooling. In this meeting, the progress of all work packages, including our GIS-based open source mapping tool is presented

20 March 2017: A Solar map (zonnekaart)

Solar map

Only one out of eight building roofs in Flanders have solar panels installed. Flemish government therefore developed together with VITO a Solar map (zonnekaart)  to explore the potential of solar energy.

Every individual can now assess the suitability of its roof for solar energy (solar panels and heating): Solar Map (zonnekaart, Duch) 

27 December 2016: WEISS new E-learning material availabe

WEISS is selected as one of the most relevant products for River Basin Management in the WaterInnEU project and new e-learning material about WEISS is now available.
